Composition

The IBEST's General Assembly : Constituted of the representative of the member States Set up the working strategy of the IBEST in the light of priorities and regulation and adopts the work of the subsidiary committees, on the recommendation by the Executive Committee;
The Executive Committee : Nominated by the IBEST's General Assembly, consisting of twelve members, follows up the policies and execute the plans approved by the General Assembly;
The Specialized Committees (Permanent Committees and others Committees constituted to address specific issues) constituted from the representative of different specializations, undertakes the study on issues of ethical concern, submitted by the Executive Committee on the basis of the recommendations of the General Assembly.
The Specialized Committees consists of 6-12 members taken from the representatives of different specializations in the Member States including experts in law, religion, sociology and philosophy besides the specialization of the concern research issues. Beside the involvement of representatives of society who echo multifarious views, these committees also summon to their meetings some experts in order to avail pertinent advice or their counsel. Recommendations submitted by the Specialized Committees are submitted for further discussion and study by the Executive Committee.
IBEST works  in coordination with other regional and international organizations concerned with ethics of science and technology. IBEST also collaborate and develop close coordination with the concerned national ethics committee in the Member State.
